The vibrant literary scene in Ottawa and surrounding areas is constantly evolving, with talented authors contributing compelling stories and insightful perspectives. To showcase this rich literary diversity, a new initiative has been launched to serve as a central hub for local authors and their works.
Introducing OttawaAreaReads.ca
OttawaAreaReads.ca is a comprehensive online library dedicated to cataloging books authored by writers from Ottawa and the nearby regions. Although the platform is in its early stages, its collection is growing daily, providing a valuable resource for readers seeking local voices and stories rooted in the community.

Join the Community: Author Contributions and Suggestions
Authors with published works—whether self-published or traditionally published—are invited to contribute to the platform. Adding a book is straightforward and completely free; authors simply need to complete a submission form available on the website. This ensures that all featured titles are approved and accurately represented, with authors maintaining control over their book descriptions, tags, and other metadata.
The platform also welcomes feedback and suggestions from visitors. If you notice any errors or have ideas on how to improve the site, a suggestion box is available through the contact page. The creators are committed to continuously refining the platform to better serve both authors and readers.
