Made it to Montreal! Thank you all!

Celebrating a Memorable Journey: Trekking from Toronto to Montreal

I am delighted to share that I have successfully completed my trek from Toronto to Montreal—a journey that was as rewarding as it was challenging. Last Tuesday marked the moment I officially crossed the border into Montreal, taking some well-deserved rest before returning to Toronto via train.

Reflecting on this experience, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who followed along and offered support along the way. Originally, I had not planned to document or share my walk publicly—there’s no YouTube channel or social media campaign here. However, at my wife’s encouragement, I decided to share my adventure after a few days.

The positive and encouraging comments I received from the Reddit community, particularly on r/toronto and r/montreal, truly moved me. It exemplified the best of both Reddit and Ontario—supportive, warm, and inspiring. Many of you even reached out through direct messages with generous offers. I hope this spirit of kindness persists, both online and in everyday life. The most valuable takeaway from this trip is the reminder that we have wonderful neighbors and that looking out for each other makes our communities stronger.

I also want to express my appreciation for the awards—although I admit I’m still not entirely sure what they do, I sincerely thank you for the gesture. As the character Andy Dwyer from “Parks and Recreation” might say, I’m both flattered and curious!

For those interested in the details and insights of my walk, I’ve prepared an in-depth guide on my personal blog. While I touched on some aspects in my Reddit posts, this guide delves into the nuances of the journey, practical tips, and lessons learned. Whether you’re contemplating a similar walk or simply curious about the process, I invite you to explore the full story here:

Before I step back into anonymity, I’d like to take a moment to highlight some causes that matter deeply to me—especially since many of you asked if this trek was for a charitable purpose. While it wasn’t initially the plan, I believe it’s a meaningful opportunity to promote awareness and support for vital initiatives.

Consider Donating Blood
A simple act that can save lives. Donating blood takes about 30 minutes a few times each year, and the benefits—both for others and oneself—are profound. Plus, you get some complimentary snacks! For more information or to schedule a donation, visit:

Support Local Leadership
In Toronto’s University-Rosedale ward, consider supporting Diana Yoon, a dedicated advocate for housing and community issues. She has been actively working on the ground for years and would make an excellent addition to city council. Find out more about her platform here:

Thank you once again for your support, encouragement, and kindness throughout this journey. I look forward to sharing more adventures and insights in the future. Until then, take care, stay engaged, and keep fostering the sense of community that makes our neighborhoods special.
