Permission to recruit Ontario estate trustees for research

Seeking Permission to Engage Ontario Estate Trustees for Research on Post-Death Administration

Dear Moderators,

I am reaching out to request permission to share a brief research invitation within the r/Ontario community.

My current project aims to explore the practical experiences of individuals who have served as estate trustees (commonly known as executors) in Ontario. Specifically, I am interested in understanding the administrative responsibilities faced after a loved one’s passing, including interactions with banks, government agencies, insurance companies, estate documentation, and other related tasks.

This research is in its early stages and intends to gather insights that could potentially lead to the development of tools or services designed to streamline post-death estate administration. Importantly, this is neither an academic study nor a sales promotion; rather, it is an effort to better understand the challenges faced by trustees to improve future support options.

Participants would be invited to engage in a short, approximately 10 to 15-minute conversation or to provide written feedback. Participation is entirely voluntary, and I will respect privacy by not requesting any personally identifiable information about the deceased or the estate.

I fully acknowledge the community guidelines regarding survey postings and advertising restrictions. If permitted, I would like to request approval for a single recruitment post, and I am happy to accommodate preferred methods of response—whether through the thread, private messages, or another appropriate channel.

Thank you very much for your consideration. I look forward to your guidance on whether this would be appropriate within the subreddit.

Sincerely,
